June 3rd, 2017 was the opening night at the National Black Theater for Playwright James Ijames’s riveting play about the aftereffects of fatal police brutality. Inspired by recent events, Mr. Ijames, in “Twilight Zone” fashion, we are witness to what “happens” when 4 youths are snatched from life, to find that they are joined in together an “afterlife”.

Directed by Saheem Ali, the project was well received by the audience. The cast, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Sidiki Fofana, Donnell E. Smith, and Clinton lowe, pose for Harlem World Magazine. NBT CEO Sade Lythcott and NBT Theater Director Jonathon McCrory were gracious hosts and Playwright James Ijames poses on the set.
