Leading up to Sunday night’s game there were a number of story lines: The Mets starting pictchers doing well except Matt Harvey, the 86 Mets being recognized, LA Dodgers returning to NY after last year’s playoff game where LA’s Chase Utley slid into into Mets then short stop Ruben Tejada fracturing Ruben’s leg, Met’s pitcher Noah Syndergaard being ejected from Saturday night’s game for throwing a fastball behind Chase Utley are a few.

Sunday Night started off well. The weather was great, fans received the replica rings, sailors were in attendance and the Lynn Crest School 22 sang the National Anthem.

Bartolo Colon with 4 wins and 3 losses was the starting pitcher for the Mets against Clayton Kershaw 7 wins and 1 loss who started for the Dodgers. Colon struggled early giving up two runs, but settled down and got through six innings. While the Mets eventually scored two runs to tie the game, the final score was Dodgers 4 Mets 2.
