The New York City Council has passed a budget for the coming fiscal year, which begins Thursday, July 1.
Lawmakers approved the $63 billion budget Tuesday evening. It includes about $1 billion in cuts, including slashes to jobs and services. The spending plan does some jobs and fire companies that had been on the chopping block. Continue reading
