Over 4 years ago Columbia University made a great deal with the New York City to acquire most of the land West of Broadway from 125th to 133rd Street. In return for the land they and local officials created the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) which specified what Columbia must give back to the community in Jobs, trainings, money and other incredible concessions. Unfortunately for the past 4 years the “local powers” have kept it under tight wraps and in the midst of gridlock.

Saint John the Divine is planning to put another apartment building on its property. The new building will be north of the Cathedral on 113th Street for all to see.
Premium Rush, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, is filming on 114th between Broadway and Amsterdam in Harlem on Saturday today. They setting up a cable on Broadway between 111th and 113th Streets so they can use it for filming on Sunday. We heard they are going to slide a camera down it to get a high-speed shot of the street.
