On Sunday, November 2, not for profit organization Black Girls Rock with VH-1 Soul celebrated the 3rd annual Black Girls Rock Awards. Held at the Stanley H. Kaplin Penthouse at Lincoln Center, the Black Girls Rock Awards was hosted by the lovely and talented Regina King.

Kharry Lazarre-White: BGR! Soul Brother #1 Award.
Marsha Ambrosius, Bilal, poet/actress Sarah Jones performed and the ever so powerful Susan L. Taylor delivered the evening’s keynote address.
