The Haitian Revolution In Harlem

haitian1The Casa Frela Gallery, located at 47W 119th Street (bet Lenox and 5th Avenues) in Harlem , NYC, invites the public at large to a lecture presentation by Haitian anthropologist and historian, Dr. Henry Frank entitled: “The Haitian Revolution of 1791, Mother of all Revolutions, and its Ramifications in World History”.

This lecture presentation will be held on Saturday February 14, 2008 at 2PM at the gallery in the occasion of Black History Month.  Actually, it is the third of a series of lecture presentations by Dr.  Henry Frank offered by Casa Frela Gallery since the opening of its double exhibit on Haiti “The Sacred Roots of Vintage Haitian Vodou Flags” and “Fête St. Yves: Beyond the Mountains”, which is in view from December 6, 2008 to March 3, 2009, Monday thru Saturday from 12PM to 4PM.

It is also to note that the previous two lecture presentations of the series given by this well documented Haitian scholar were very informative and extremely appreciated by the attendees who kept asking for an “encore”. Continue reading
