Last night I had dinner at Chez Lucienne (308 Lenox Ave). You all must be reading my column and taking my advise about this quaint restaurant that features good food and great ambience , because the restaurant was packed! The Maitre d’ Fred found us seats at the bar where David made me the perfect martini. We waited briefly until our table was ready and had a great time as always. ( Next time try the Pate Aux Fruits De Mer- grilled shrimps, mussels and linguini).

The owners of two of Harlem’s most popular restaurants told Community Board 10 on Thursday that a proposal to stop restaurants and bars from serving liquor after 2 a.m. could stunt the neighborhood’s culinary explosion.
The owners of Ristorante Settepanni and Chez Lucienne, both located on a stretch of Lenox Avenue between 120th and 130th Street that is increasingly becoming a dining destination, said the idea being explored by the board’s economic development committee would hurt Harlem at a time when more restaurants are attracted to the neighborhood. Jazz greats inspired by the city of light and French food that inspired them
As part of Harlem Week, on Sunday, August 16th (official Harlem Day), Chez Lucienne will launch a week-long promotion: Harlem-Paris. On Sunday, August 16th Chez Lucienne (Harlem’s own French Brasserie) will kick off a week of menu specials with live music featuring jazz vocalist, John Rainbow, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.
