At about 9:30 am this morning on St. Nicholas Avenue and West 125 Street the FDNY using all hands on deck for a two-story building under demolition with scaffolds has collapsed onto a city bus with numerous people inside and trapped, and one man thrown from the demolish into the street (see above). Harlem Storefronts Facade Collapse, No One Hurt

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the facade of a number of Harlem storefronts to collapse.

 It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 126th Street and 7th Avenue (on the uptown side of the street). The FDNY says six store facades were compromised. Continue reading

HW Alert: Natural Gas Leak In Harlem

Notification: at 11:50 PM. West 133rd Street is closed between Frederick Douglas Boulevard and Adam C. Powell Boulevard in Manhattan due to a natural gas leak. FDNY has evacuated 202 West 133 Street as a precaution. Expect traffic delays in the area.

Woman Stabbed in East Harlem Apartment
