Diddy Says G. Dep’s Murder Conviction Is ‘A Shame’

Not long after Diddy turned heads at Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group press conference on Wednesday, he appeared on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 radio show and addressed the recent tribulations of two of his former Bad Boy artists: G. Dep and Mase.

According to Diddy, G. Dep, who was recently convicted of second-degree murder on a 1993 shooting charge stemming from a botched robbery in Harlem, became a different person when severe substance-abuse issues took hold of his life. Continue reading →

A Harlem rapper’s stunning confession in a 17-year-old cold case murder came as he began making amends in a 12-step detox program, his lawyer said Tuesday. Trevell Coleman -  a once-successful rap artist who was signed by P. Diddy -  was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury Tuesday, a week after telling cops that he a shot a man in 1993. Harlem’s G-Dep Resurfaces

After years out of the spotlight, Harlem, New York rapper G-Dep has resurfaced to speak on his comeback to hip-hop and his status on Bad Boy Records.

In a video by Digital Hustle Films, the “Special Delivery” rhyme slinger revealed where he stands with hip-hop mogul Diddy and the Bad Boy label which has since added new acts like Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Boyz N da Hood and Elephant Man.

“Right now, the situation over there is like, you know, if you not in motion, you in slow motion. So slow motion is better than none. So right now we’re on our grind,” Dep said. “We gonna try to get our situation going on and then, you know, we just gonna keep it pushing, you know?” Continue reading →
