The lights were low Friday night at the Hip-Hop Cultural Center on Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Hopeful musicians rehearsed their acts, passing around a bottle of Poland Spring in place of a microphone. An 18-year-old rapper called D-Nasty controlled the sound system. Continue reading
