Dear Interns,

Although your college and university education is providing you with invaluable instruction, experience in your chosen field of study is essential in today’s workforce. Harlem World Magazine, Inc. wants to give you just that.

Harlem World Magazine, Inc. is looking for part-time interns who are willing to work 15 to 20 hours a week. We’re looking for motivated, responsible, and talented interns to work for our newly structured media company. Interns will not only gain academic credit but great experience. Internship positions are being sought in news, features, photojournalism, creative arts/graphic design, new media, public relations and business/marketing. Interns have the option of working in or out of office, as long as the designated tasks are completed.

HW caters to a vibrant, young trend setting audience with its news, fashion, and gossip centered content. HW is ensuring that Harlem content is not only accessible through the traditional print version but online via the latest social networking sites Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace as well as through our platforms – print, online and events.

HW intern Janel Martinez says she gained so much from interning with us. “Interning at Harlem World has been great and truly a learning experience,” says Martinez. “I honestly got to do a little bit of everything from traditional journalism and reporting to new media and public relations. I dabbled in everything and I was given the opportunity to do so. I worked on assignments from start to finish so I’d propose an article idea, got out in the field and covered it, then posted the finished product –my article and accompanying images.”

If this sounds like an internship you would love to jump on, don’t hesitate and contact HW at hwcontact@yahoo.com.

Thank you for taking the time out to read this letter and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Daniel
