The Harlem Globetrotters are tipping off “Globetrotter Week” in NYC, which culminates with six games at four arenas from this past Saturday through next Monday — including Madison Square Garden, IZOD Center, Prudential Center and Nassau Coliseum says NYC Post.

Jay-Z will hold a Sept. 11 benefit concert in New York City.
The New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund says the rapper is scheduled to make the announcement Monday at Madison Square Garden. He’ll be joined by Gov. David Paterson, Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.
The Harlem Globetrotters will retire Curly Neal’s No. 22 on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden.
Neal will be just the fifth Globetrotter in the team’s 82-year history to have his number retired, joining Wilt Chamberlain (13), Meadowlark Lemon (36), Marques Haynes (20) and Goose Tatum (50). Continue reading
