Obama Life Of The Party In Harlem

New Yorkers from all boroughs gathered in the heart of Harlem Thursday night to watch Barack Obama accept the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.

The group Harlem for Obama hosted a speech-watching party for some 200 supporters at the Tribal Spears Gallery Cafe on Frederick Douglass Blvd. between 116th and 117th Sts.

A crowd of voters, predominantly black and more than 50% female, watched the address by the first African-American presidential nominee from a major party, and the building rang with explosive cries of “Yes we can!” Continue reading
