On Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, in association with artHARLEM’s HOAST (Harlem Open Studio Art Tour), the Montgomery Boutique will host an extraordinary event. Art is Love (2008) is both a trunk show and gallery opening featuring the painter Tschabalala Self. At this event fashion meets art. Ms. Self, who was born and raised in Harlem, is a freshman this fall at the prestigious Bard College. She is a portrait painter who works predominately in oil paint. The proceeds generated through this event will go towards funding her college education.
