It’s My Park Day At Morningside Park In Harlem

On It’s My Park Day, join Morningside Build A Run Coalition (BARC) to help clean, rake, and spread fresh woodchips throughout the dog run. Please bring your own work gloves if able. Morningside BARC will also offer volunteers free snacks and water. Volunteers should enter Morningside Park at 114th Street & Morningside Drive at the top of the park near Columbia University. Let’s Welcome Harlem’s New Precinct Commander And Let Him Know Your Issues And Concerns

Harlem World Magazine welcomes the 28th Precinct’s new commander, Capt. Kevin Williams. During yesterdays community meeting at Touro College residents greeted him with their concerns in his first meeting with the community.

With park resources stretched so thin and more budget and personnel cuts slated, every little bit we can do to help is important. Join us in a cleanup project which will start at the Field House in the park at 123rd Street and proceed through the park. Bags and gloves will be provided but be sure to wear work clothing.
