Women’s History Program on Health and Wellness in Honor of Dr. Betty Shabazz

Dr. Shabazz was an advocate for women’s issues particularly,  the health of women.  This evening will not only discuss what is healthy living but guest will dine on healthy cuisine and view the Freedom’s Sisters exhibit.  The national exhibition features 20 African American women, whose stories of courage, commitment and struggle in the name of freedom helped shape the spirit and substance of civil rights in America.  Continue reading
