Harlem Night at ATL Live

Last night various celebrities came out to support Shanti Das & Marlon Nichols’ “Live In ATL” hosted at the Park Tavern. There were a lot of stunning faces but many familiar ones including Chaka Zulu, Jeff Dixon, Taiye Samuels all members of Ludacris label DTP. Also present was NBA star Point Guard Travis Best and Ne-Yo was also in the building. The event was co-sponsored by Orange flavored beverage company Crush and Ludacris own Cognac Conjour. Rally To Save Park In Harlem

Carol Martin has spent years at Riverbank State Park, learning how to swim, dance, play the guitar and do other activities. Now, some of those programs are on the chopping block due to State Parks Department budget cuts, and the thought of losing the programs Martin believes has helped her to develop a healthy lifestyle left her in tears.
“I come here five days a week. I need it, we need it. We have a fantastic dance program and they do innovative things, especially for the seniors and the children,” said Martin. Continue reading
