Walter’s World: Ramping Up for A Ramp To Paradise 2

A Ramp to Paradise 2 is now less than a week away from its première on Thursday, November 8, 7:30pm at the Kumble Theater, Long Island University Campus, in downtown Brooklyn. This new version of the 2010 Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center’s presentation promises to be an exciting interactive multi-media dance and theatre experience. The production pays tribute to the legendary New York dance club of the 1970’s and 80’s twenty-five years after its closing. Continue reading

Walter’s World: Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center Presents Annual Showcase

The Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center (THPAC) will present their annual choreographers showcase entitled Souls of Our Feet: People of Color Dance Festival at the Kumble Theater located on the downtown Brooklyn campus of Long Island University. The three-day event will take on Sunday June 17, Tuesday June 19 and Wednesday June 20. The Sunday June 17 opening performance is at 7pm, the June 19 and 20 performances begin at 7:30 pm. Walter’s World: Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center- Thirty5-In-5 Finale

On Thursday June 23 the Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center presented the final program in the Thirty5-In-5 dance series at the Kumble Theater on the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University. The finale consisted of six works by emerging and established choreographers. Each work was a testament to artistic diversity and individualism.
