Diddy Tweaks MTA Signs

An underground ad campaign for Diddy’s new album had some Manhattan commuters doing double takes Tuesday morning. Signs at entrances to the Prince St. and Spring St. subway stations were convincingly altered to read “Last Train to Paris 12.14.10,” the artist’s newest album, released this week. Continue reading

Does NYC And Chicago Tourism Partnership Help Harlem?

Earlier today, New York City and American Airlines today joined Chicago tourism officials to announce their first-ever collaborative effort to bolster tourism and promote travel between NYC and Chicago in 2011. A special reciprocal air fare of $89 each way was announced for Q1 at the event which took place at Millennium Park in Chicago.  NYC & Company continues with Day 2 of its national Live More Tour – designed to give travel incentives to visitors through exclusive flight deals and consumer offers.

Highlights of the 4th Annual Harlem Arts Advocacy Week

On October 4, The Harlem Arts Alliance (HAA)  kicked off the 4th Annual Harlem Arts Advocacy Week at The Riverside Theatre. This was held as part of the HAA monthly meeting, Voza Rivers, Chair and Michael Unthink, Executive Director. The Harlem Arts Advocacy Week offered panel discussions community forms, guest speakers and special events in various events. The goal as outlined in the schedule of events, states Harlem Arts Advocacy Week raises the visibility of the contributions of the arts and cultural community; provides a forum for discussion of important issues and helps to strengthen the critical link between the arts and the business sectors.
