State officials say faults in the emergency radio network include equipment failures, inconsistent in-building coverage, inadequate network reliability and a failure to present a systematic plan for linking existing radio systems.
The New York state Office for Technology says it has found 19 flaws in a proposed $2 billion statewide emergency radio network and told the main contractor they must be corrected within 45 days or the state could end the contract. Continue reading
