Uptown Arts Stroll 2The 2016 Uptown Arts Stroll, Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance’s annual month-long art festival, will kick off with an opening celebration on Wednesday, June 1st at 6:00 pm at Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling.The Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling is located at 898 St. Nicholas Avenue and 155th St, New York NY 10032, with performances by students from the Harlem School for the Arts, Tony-award winning actor and spoken word actor Lemon Andersen and Higher Ground Festival.The Stroll will continue during the entire month of June throughout Northern Manhattan, from West 135th Street to West 220th Street.

Featuring open studios, art exhibitions, concerts, public readings and literary events, and other special performances throughout the month of June, the Uptown Arts Stroll has become West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood’s leading arts festival celebrating the richness and diversity of these Northern Manhattan communities.

Since 2003, the festival has grown from a one-day event into a month-long celebration.
