day of the dead in east harlemIt was the celebration of the Day of the Dead Celebration on October 29, 2015, that began with building a beautiful altar, led by artist Daniel Valle at Union Settlement Association in East Harlem,

There were activities enjoyed by community members of all ages including a sugar sculpture workshop led by Ines Larios.

The night was highlighted by a delicious feast courtesy of Cleo J., which was followed by live musical and dance performances by Mariachi Real de Mexico, Mariachi Academy of New York and Ballet Folclorico.
