The Fellowship Initiative, A Young Harlem Man’s Journey Into Self-Discovery

December 12, 2017

Dallas Lee Bell News reports Meet a young man who made his dream of going to college a reality-with a little help.
Born and raised in Harlem, Ezekiel Clare applied to The Fellowship Initiative when he was a high school freshman because he wanted to achieve his goal of attending college.

Now, he is a college freshman studying filmmaking at SUNY Purchase in New York.

To help empower the next generation of America’s leaders, JPMorgan Chase created The Fellowship Initiative in 2010 to prepare young men like Ezekiel to go to college and create their own pathways to success. The program provides academic support, guidance choosing and applying to college, and hands-on mentoring to help these young men succeed.

Through The Fellowship Initiative, students in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York City are receiving support. The program boasts a 100% high school graduation and college acceptance rate.
