TITAN Reginald F. Lewis Film Honors: A Salute to Multicultural Excellence At Cannes Film Festival 2018

As Marvel’s Black Panther wows moviegoers and shatters box-office records with a fictional tale of cinematic proportions, the real and moving story of Black American Pioneer will have its European Premiere during Festival de Cannes, May 16, 2018, 9pm. The night billed as an Evening at Le Majestic Beach will be present the TITAN Reginald F. Lewis FILM HONORS: A Salute to Multicultural Excellence, befittingly named for the 1st Black $Billion DealMaker.

This is a global tribute to Diversity bringing together Hollywood, Bollywood and Nollywood during Festival de Cannes, and the European Premiere of Titan RFL’s Documentary, PIONEERS: Reginald F. Lewis and the making of a Billion Dollar Empire. It is the story of Titan Reginald F. Lewis, a Real Life Black Hero, his life, lifestyle, and business success. This is an unprecedented, amazing private event, TITAN Reginald F. Lewis FILM HONORS: Salute To Multicultural Excellence, for the European Premiere of the 30-minute documentary film during the Cannes Film Festival on the world famous Croisette.

This magnificent, unprecedented affair, TITAN Reginald F. Lewis Film Honors, during the Cannes Film Festival, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Le Majestic Beach. The topic of inclusion, diversity, is huge in the world right now, and this celebrates film industry multi-cultural triumphs. This event inspiring a new generation of minority youths and entrepreneurs to dream big and “keep on going no matter what”. Creator and Exec. Ken Naz, former President of Eros International Inc, NA (over Billion movie ticket sales annually), leading Indian film company known for films such as ‘Devdas’ which premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2002, and ‘Newton’ India’s Oscar entry for 2018 which premiered at the Berlinale, current Chairman MariKen Film Productions, RFL’s widow, Loida Nicolas Lewis, and Civil Rights renowned Icon Dr. Benjamin Chavis, former chairman of HipHop Summit (members included JayZ, Diddy, etc) and current President & CEO, NNPA National Newspaper Publishers Association (over 220 black owned media outlets), will co-host.

Celebrating the United Nations International cultural diversity week, “Living Together”, with the European Premiere of the 30-minute documentary, PIONEERS: Reginald F. Lewis and the Making of a Billion Dollar Empire at a private reception party is the best way of celebrating diversity excellence in cinema at this, the world’s most important cultural event.

BOLLYWOOD ICON TRIBUTE – On this special occasion, we will pay tribute to Bollywood Icon and 1st female superstar, Sridevi Kapoor, who passed away in January and was just awarded posthumously the Best Actress National Award, the highest distinction of the country, for her last film ‘Mom’. In addition, Sridevi is featured among those honored at the 90th Academy Awards in the memorial montage section. Her husband, film producer, Boney Kapoor and daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor will be in attendance at the Cannes affair. The elder daughter of the couple, Jhanvi will be making her Bollywood debut shortly in ‘Dhadak’, produced by Karan Johar. The film is a Bollywood remake of the critically acclaimed, and highest box-office Marathi film grosser, ‘Sairat’, part of the Official Selection at La Berlinale 2017.

Lewis and the Making of a Billion Dollar Empire to be screened on May 16th at a private event during Cannes Film Festival. The US Premiere was celebrated at Harvard Club New York, in February, with a star studded event and titan billionaire panel.

DOCUMENTARY SYNOPSIS, PIONEERS: Reginald F. Lewis and the Making of a Billion Dollar Empire chronicles the life and legacy of highly qualified, corporate lawyer, business pioneer, philanthropist, activist, freedom fighter for civil rights and Titan. A Harvard Law School graduate, Lewis rose to prominence as a lawyer, financier, and leader of the global food company TLC Beatrice International. Lewis was the first American ever to close an overseas billion dollar Leveraged buyout deal. He acquired an unprecedented global conglomerate of 64 companies in 31 countries, and paved the way for future entrepreneurs and black leaders through his life’s work until his untimely death at age 50. He was an activist, a freedom fighter for civil rights and was Jessie Jackson’s 1st big funder.

Loida Lewis is the widow of Reginald F. Lewis, the architect of America’s Wall Street Largest Offshore Leveraged Buyout, 30 years ago, buying 64 companies in 31 countries, RFL is the 1st Black $Billion DealMaker. The purpose is the celebration of the RFL Documentary and 30th Year Anniversary of the $985 Million leveraged purchase of TLC Beatrice International, the deal that changed the landscape of WallStreet for all entrepreneurs. RFL immediately paid down debt and grossed sales of $1.8 Billion, and TLC Beatrice made it to the Fortune 500 list. At $985 MM, the deal was the largest offshore leveraged buyout ever by an American company. Chairman and CEO Lewis moved quickly to reposition the company and vastly increased the company’s worth.
