Two Street Musicians, Harlem, New York, 1943

harlem-street-musiciains1Two Harlem street musicians on the street in Harlem, New York, June, 1943.

A great photograph that documents a passing Harlem where no licenses were needed to play on the street and only cups were the norm of the day. In the photograph the people surround the musicians as they listen to the two men play and some look like they dance in the street (the one on the left is blind and the one on the right is missing a leg).
