1aa_635x250_1435882424The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has decided not to file assault charges against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs for his physical encounter with a UCLA football coach last week.

Combs 45, was arrested in the incident for allegedly swinging a kettlebell at an assistant coach.

His case has been referred to the City Attorney’s Office to decide on charging the rap mogul with a misdemeanor.

Combs reportedly confronted the UCLA coach in his office after he yelled at the mogul’s son, Justin Combs, who is a defensive back on the Division I football team, during practice. Combs had been watching the incident from the sidelines.

No one was seriously injured in the altercation, which took place at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex.

Combs was later arrested by campus police and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

His reps claim the mogul was acting in self defense: ““The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate,” Nathalie Moar, a rep for Combs Enterprises, said at the time. “What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.”
