Three Cheers For Cam’ron Who Donates Hundreds Of Sneakers To The Harlem Community

November 5, 2016

video-from-the-event-in-harlemIt’s always good to see a someone give back to his community in a big way. On Friday November 4th, 2016, Harlem’s Cam’ron donated hundreds of sneakers in Harlem, New York.

The Dipset founder decided it was time to empty out of his storage lockers where he kept hundreds of sneakers. He went on his Instagram account to announce that he’s donating all of his sneakers away on 141st Street and 5th and Lenox Avenues in Harlem.

In the videos posted here, one woman was putting sneakers in a couple of trash bags. She told Cam’ron that she was going to send them to her family in the Dominican Republic.

“Do you have any more?” she asked Cam, to which he replied, “I can get you more.”

From what we can tell in the videos, it looks like Cam’ron gave away some really cool shoes. You can see some Magic Johnson converse sneaks, some rare Air Jordans, Air Force 1s and Timberland boots (just in time for winter).

Props to Cam for his altruism. Hopefully, others in the music industry will take note and clear out their closets and give back to the Harlem community.
