Political Woes Mark End Of An Era

Politics

The so-called “Gang of Four” were black pioneers who ran New York state and the city and put Harlem on the political map. With two blows this week, that empire is in disarray.

Gov. David Paterson says he’s not running for a full term following a scandal over an abuse complaint against his aide. And Rep. Charles Rangel was accused Thursday by the House ethics committee of breaking House rules by accepting corporate money for trips to conferences in the Caribbean. Continue reading →
