Carter Burden Center Holds Annual Senior Ball In Harlem

Carter Burden Center Senior BallOn May 14, 2016, over 100 seniors from The Carter Burden Center for the Aging programs in East Harlem and the Upper East Side enjoyed an afternoon of merriment, laughter and cheer at the elegant ballroom of Holy Trinity Cathedral at 337 East 74th Street.  The Senior Ball was presented by The Carter Burden Associates Council, a dedicated group of young professionals, who want to inspire lasting relationships between generations in New York City.  The Associates are volunteers who raise funds for the Senior Ball and other special events, deliver meals to homebound seniors and participate in one-on-one visits with seniorsSpecial thanks to Holy Trinity Cathedral for generously providing the ballroom and Black Tree BK restaurant for donating the food for this very special event.

The Carter Burden Center for the Aging, Inc. is a non-profit agency established in 1971 by the late Carter Burden when he was a New York City Councilman. The mission is to promote the well-being of seniors, 60 and older, through a continuum of services, advocacy and volunteer programs oriented to individual, family and community needs. The Carter Burden Center is dedicated to supporting the efforts of older people to live safely and with dignity.
