Charlie Sheen To Receive 2016 Harlem United Award

anger_management_sheen_a_lOn the evening of April 19, at The Riverside Church in New York, Harlem United will host a Boulevard Bash. This exceptional event will feature actor/advocate Charlie Sheen receiving the 2016 Harlem United Outstanding Service Award for his HIV awareness work. He joins host Carmen Carrera, actress, model, activist and television personality, to honor entertainment guru Bevy Smith, Host on BET, BRAVO TV, and “BEVELATIONS” on Radio Andy Sirius XM, and, Patrick McGovern, Senior Director of Government Affairs, Gilead Sciences. The Boulevard Bash program will highlight Harlem United’s 28 years of impact and commitment to quality comprehensive health care for underserved communities in Harlem and beyond.

Jacquelyn Kilmer, Harlem United’s CEO, is looking forward to celebrating the clients, investors, staff, and the legacy of the organization’s transformative work, with such an impressive group of friends and supporters: “Harlem United has been at the forefront of comprehensive care for families at risk for or affected by HIV, homelessness, substance use, and mental illness for 28 years. Boulevard Bash celebrates building on this legacy with expanded services and more people served. The Boulevard Bash will be co-chaired by Scott Fein, Senior Vice President, BioReference Laboratories, and Doug Wirth, President & CEO, Amida Care.
