Harlem Man Tupac’s Powamekka Café And Tupac By VLONE Launch Event (Photos)

On Thursday, April 7th, 2017, The Estate of Harlem born Tupac Shakur in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group’s industry-leading merchandise and brand management company, celebrated the unveiling of Tupac’s Powamekka Café at Sweet Chick, 178 Ludlow, New York, New York.

The event had a certain Harlem vibe to it with Harlemites Dave East and ASAP Bari, topped off with an intimate preview of the Tupac by VLONE collection.

The was attended by Nas, Harlem’s ASAP Bari, Yara Shahidi, Harlem’s Dave East, Dev Hynes, Marcc Rose, The Skins, Eddie Huang, Ronnie Fieg along with Tom Whalley, trustee to the Estate of Tupac Shakur, Mat Vlasic (CEO Bravado), John Seymour (owner, Sweet Chick).

VLONE, which rose to fame along with the A$AP Mob embodies the successful intersection of music, culture, and fashion that the hip-hop rooted collective has become most known for. Founded in 2011 by creative director ASAP Bari, VLONE is a favorite of celebrities including Kanye West, Playboi Carti, Drake, The Weeknd and Virgil Abloh. The brand has had great success as both a clothing line and a lifestyle with pop ups at Art Basel Miami and Hong Kong, SXSW, NBA All Star Weekend and NYFW. The brand has collaborated with Off White, Colette, and Fragment and is most known for their recent collaborative Nike Air Force 1 shoe which debuted during ComplexCon.

  1. It’s funny you don’t see any of 2Pac’s Family, close colleagues or Friends in this picture.. It’s almost as insulting as Tom Whalley Blacklisting of Tupac Shakur’s Family Members and Music Group The Outlawz from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
