We love this timeless photograph taken by luxury fashion designer Cristobol Balenciaga of a Harlem man with Harlem style impeccably dressed strolling on a Harlem street during the 1940’s.

He walks towards the camera on the sidewalk as if he’s coming right from the catwalk at a Harlem Fashion Row show. His light-colored shoes match his patch work coat, the classic black striped dress pants are on point, the piece is pulled together with his snug waist belted plaid wool coat for the winter, and topped off with a classic black Stetson brim in true Harlem style tilted to the right.

It’s great to see Cristobol Balenciaga, the Spanish Basque couturier fashion designer and the founder of fashion house Balenciaga inspired by Harlem street style.
