Harlem’s Circa Central Park Casually Elegant Interiors

April 4, 2017

Big news from Circa Central Park, the glassy new condo building that curves around Frederick Douglass Circle at West 110th Street on the border of Harlem and the Upper West Side: Photos of a pair of model apartments have been revealed at last, letting real estate gawkers get their first non-rendered glimpse of the building’s interiors.

As is expected for a building where market-rate apartments start at $1.3 million for a one-bedroom and top out at a cool $7.5 million for a five-bedroom, the condos are impressive, featuring huge windows, oak floors, and, in certain cases, idyllic terraces. The kitchens are decked out with a full slate of brand-name appliances like Kohler fixtures, Sub-Zero refrigerators, and Bosch stoves while the bathrooms boast Duravit tubs, Grohe faucets, and white marble tile.

Meanwhile, the building itself comes with a whole host of amenities including a fitness center, a kids’ playroom with game consoles, a study room for kids equipped with Macs (because of course), a shared rooftop terrace, plus fully equipped picnic baskets, kids scooters, and, the real kicker, remote controlled boats for residents’ use in nearby Central Park. (Somewhat surprisingly, you don’t have to leverage your apartment to use them.)

Sales of the 38 market-rate apartments in the building launched almost exactly a year ago, and of the 22 active listings on StreetEasy, 14 are currently in contract. Alas, the lottery for the Circa’s 10 affordable apartments closed in July.
