VOLARE Big & Tall Represents For The Brawns During New York Fashion Week 2016 (Photographs)

volare3Philadelphia native, Troy Adkins, approached New York Fashion Week with a “go big or go home” mentality. On Wednesday, September 14th,for the first time ever, Adkins made history by presenting the first big and tall menswear show to debut during New York Fashion Week 2016.

volare21volare5The star studded runway show sponsored by VOLARE, Gio Global Management, Divine Influence PR, Maestro’s, Given Tequila, Imagine Lifestyles, Perfection Styles, and ICU Network, featured Actor, Jamal “Gravy” Woolard (Notorious/All Eyez on Me), Hip Hop Recording Artist, Fat Trel (Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records,) Music Producer/Reality TV Personality, Cisco Rosado (VH1 Love & Hip Hop NY), Jay Alford (formerly of The New York Giants), Boxing Heavyweight, Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, Brandon “Scoop” Robinson (Host of CBS’ Brown & Scoop), Jermaine Jones (American Idol Season 11), Recording Artist, BIGG Homie, and Peter Parrkker(Filmmaker/Director), all strutting their big and tall status.

volare8volare9The groundbreaking collection was also viewed among an elite, standing room only crowd of industry movers and shakers and celebrities such as celebrated Brawn IMG supermodel, Zach Miko and wife Laura Miko, Mama Jones (WE TV Jim & Chrissy Vow or Never), Singer/Songwriter, Justina Valentine, Hot 97’s Jennifer Le, TV Personality, Shauna Brooks, Fashion Editor, Shatonia Amee, Recording Artist, Barry Bondz, Designer, Jason C. Peters, Socialite Zach Simmons, and brawn blogger, Michael Anthony Spearman, and more.

volare10This year, NYFW S/S 2017 met the poised “big guy” as 28 year old Troy Adkins introduced fashion influencers to his highly anticipated VOLARE collection. Capturing the very essence of the big and tall guy, Adkins presented an innovative array of trendy, street wear with an European influence in fit and fashion.

volare13Actor, Jamal “Gravy” Woolard embodied the spirit of the collection, donned in ‘Buttah Baby,’ VOLARE’S Tan suede trench coat with caramel lambskin lapels and detailing. Another winning moment was when MMG Recording Artist, Fat Trel, shut down the runway in a Midnight Blue VOLARE plush sweatsuit paired with gold chains.

volare15volare16An additional strong highlight from the show was a custom varsity inspired denim button down with a signature ‘VOLARE France’ emblem modeled by Marquis Neal. VOLARE was also honored to give a homeless man turned model, the opportunity to feature in its 18 piece NYFW collective.

volare18The finale belonged to TV Personality, Cisco Rosado, of Love and Hip Hop NY, who closed the show in a custom red VOLARE Jersey. The collection also featured an eclectic mix of structured leather jackets, collar shirts, athletic wear, denim, and men’s boxers.

Described as one of the “best dressed brawny men in the city of brotherly love,” VOLARE’S creative director, Troy Adkins, not only credits VOLARE’S debut collection as a homage to his longtime friend and supporter who recently passed away, but is also a representation of brawn men everywhere.volare20
